Dr Lyndall Short

Veterinarian (BVSc BSc)

Lyndall graduated from Massey University in New Zealand in 2007. She is originally from a farm near Paskeville on the Yorke Peninsula however has made her home near Curramulka with her husband, young family and pets. Lyndall has always enjoyed the variety of work available on the Yorke Peninsula and started her own mobile veterinary service in 2011 with the aim of providing a unique service of pet and livestock care at home and on farm. This has now expanded to include in-clinic services with the opening of the vet clinic at 39 Main Street, Port Vincent. Outside of work Lyndall enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis for Curramulka and continuing renovations on their home as well as spending time in her garden.


Dr Mel Holmes

Veterinarian (BSc (Vet Bioscience) DVM)

Mel is local to the Yorke Peninsula having moved here permanently a number of years ago. She completed her veterinary studies at Roseworthy. Mel has special interests in behaviour medicine and emergency medicine. We are very pleased to have Mel with us. She has an avid following which is a credit to her as an individual and valued team member. Mel also has extensive experience with large animals so you will likely see her out and about on farms when she is not in the clinic. In her spare time, Mel enjoys spending time with her treasured dog Kelly & chickens, getting out on her bike or kayak, and exploring the beautiful YP. 


Dr Maddi Foster

Veterinarian (BSc (Vet Bioscience) DVM)

Maddi moved to the Yorke Peninsula and joined us in February 2021 to extend her skills into a mixed practice setting, aiming to help the wider community with their pet and livestock needs. Maddi has fit into our Port Vincent team like a duck to water. Maddi has special interests in chickens, radiology and ultrasonography. Maddi is enjoying getting out and about on farm and the variety of work that the Yorke Peninsula has to offer. In her spare time, Maddi enjoys sports, spending time with her cat and book club.


Dr Shontay Illman

Veterinarian (BSc (Vet Bioscience) DVM)

Shontay is our newest Vet team member, returning to where she grew up after completing her studies. Shontay is a highly competent, thorough vet who enjoys all creatures great and small. Her passion lies with sheep so our local sheep producers will see her out on farm wherever possible! We have encouraged Shontay to try her hand at tennis but haven't succeeded as yet. In her spare time Shontay enjoys spending time with her dog and going down to the beach - Port Vincent is the place for that! Welcome Shontay, it is great to have you with us!


Dr Jess Liddiard

Veterinarian

Jess grew up on her family's farm in Corny Point and completed her veterinary studies at the University of Adelaide in 2014. After starting practice in South Australia, Jess moved to the south coast of NSW. Recently, Jess, her husband and baby boy moved home to the Yorke Peninsula to be closer to family. Jess enjoys all aspects of mixed pratice, but has a particular interest in horses, having done additional training in equine denistry and working on race days at her local track in NSW. On weekends, Jess will usually be found spending time with her family and pets, riding one of her horses or playing polocrosse. Welcome Jess! 


Naomi

Practice Manager

Naomi joined our team as Business Manager in September 2023. Naomi has extensive experience in business and people management and is excited to apply her knowledge and skills to the veterinary industry. You will find Naomi often engrossed in the background activities that make the clinic run smoothly and enhance the experience at Vet 2 You for patients, clients and staff. Welcome Naomi, it is great to have you on board!


Steph

Head Nurse (BSc Honours Degree Veterinary Nursing)

We are thrilled to introduce Steph. Steph comes originally from Ireland but now resides on the beautiful Yorke Peninsula with her partner and their fur family. Steph has a multitude of experience in the veterinary industry and has been trained to an extremely high level. We are so lucky to have Steph with us and look forward to introducing her to the wider community and the wonderful opportunities we have here at Vet 2 You. Welcome aboard Steph!


Natalie

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate iv Veterinary Nursing)

Natalie joined the Vet 2 You team in March of 2017 after working in Adelaide in a busy small animal clinic. Natalie is passionate about her work, enjoys helping animals and people. Natalie is known as our primary puppy cuddler and will always make you feel welcome at 39 Main Street, Port Vincent! Natalie is a wealth of information with years of experience in the veterinary field. Natalie is familiar with the local area as she grew up on the Yorke Peninsula. Natalie assists in the day to day running of the clinic and is looking forward to expanding her skills in the veterinary field to include some large animal work.


Hilary

Trainee Veterinary Nurse (Certificate iii Veterinary Nursing)

Hilary joined our growing Vet 2 You team in November 2020 after moving back to the Yorke Peninsula, closer to her family. She has always had a strong interest in animals and was keen to take this further. Hilary is enrolled in the Vet Nursing program and is currently undertaking her training. Hilary is grasping all aspects of the veterinary industry quickly and can answer your queries effectively and efficiently. When not at work Hilary enjoys spending time with family, her pets, playing tennis and netball and socialising with friends.


Jaimee

Veterinary Nurse (Diploma of Animal Technology)

Jaimee joined our growing team in April 2021. Jaimee comes to us from a zoo setting where she has many years experience with big cats, giant pandas and painted dogs as well as other various zoo creatures. Jaimee has moved permanently to the Yorke Peninsula with her husband. Jaimee has already been able to apply many skills she has learned in a zoo setting to life in the clinic and on farm. We are very lucky to have another friendly face that complements our wonderful team. Welcome Jaimee!


Tash

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate iv Veterinary Nursing)

Tash has many years of experience as a veterinary nurse in the small animal sector as a surgical and medicine nurse, nursing manager and administration manager. Tash enjoys cooking and teaching in her spare time and continues to study externally towards these goals. Tash has her own dogs at home which keep her on her toes when she isn't at work. It is great to have you with us Tash!


Cat

Veterinary Technician (Bachelor of Veterinary Technology)

Cat has recently joined our team after completing her studies at the University of Adelaide to gain her Bachelor of Veterinary Technology. Cat is a bubbly, eager and essential member of our team. Cat is developing her skills in anaesthesia and surgical nursing as well as customer service. Cat loves getting out on farm so you will see her out and about assisting our vets when required. She spends her spare time gardening and with her partner and fur babies on the farm. We are very lucky to have her!


Lucy

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Lucy joined our team in August 2023. She has recently gained entry into the Animal Studies course through TAFE. We are excited to assist Lucy with extending her animal care skills and applying her new knowledge gained through her course to our clinical situation. You will see Lucy around the clinic helping in any way she can. Welcome Lucy!


Caitlin

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Caitlin joined us this year as a Trainee Veterinary Nurse. Caitlin has been an animal lover all her life and spends her spare time volunteering for local rescues and hanging out on a farm. Welcome Caitlin, we look forward to watching you develop your nursing skills! 


Tanya

Veterinary Nurse

Tanya joins us at Vet 2 You - Port Vincent after relocating to the Yorke Peninsula. Tanya is an experienced nurse who has been working in vet clinics and the animal industry for more than 7 years. She brings an extensive amount of practical knowledge to our team and we are very excited to have her working with us.Tanya has a number of horses, a blue heeler and a maltese x shi tzu and a tabby cat who like to keep her company during her time at home.
